Chai is probably my favorite tea. It is so spicy and warm plus you can drink it so many ways: hot, cold, alone, with milk, with or without sweetener, etc. We’ve even made chai tea ice cream and chai cookies! This drink is so creamy and delicious. It is also dairy free and vegan. I love using coconut milk in this as it is a great, all natural alternative to heavy creams or coffee creamers. This makes 1 serving
6 oz hot water
2 chai tea bags (small, I used white chai tea)
1/4 cup coconut milk, canned (light or regular version)
1 tsp honey
Dash of cinnamon
Dash of cloves
In a sauce pan, combine water and tea bags. Let steep about 10 minutes. Remove tea bags and add in remaining ingredients. Bring to a slow boil and remove from heat. If desired, use an immersion blender to make the tea frothy and pour into mug.
