Thanksgiving Menu Ideas

One week until Thanksgiving – wow! I was looking back at my menu for last year (found here). In that post, I mentioned that I was on a “pretty strict diet” and that the holidays would be hard. What a whiny baby I was then 🙂 I’m not sure if the last year has made me stronger, more tolerant or crazier….. either way, last year, my diet was nothing compared to where I’m at right now. Regardless, don’t let anyone tell you (myself included) that your holiday meals can’t be fantastic! Whether you follow a gluten free, dairy free, paleo, low sugar, whatever diet; you can still have great tasting foods. You can even gorge yourself on pie if you wish – although I don’t recommend it! Below is a list of some great traditional (and non-traditional) Thanksgiving foods.

During this holiday, let us remember how wonderfully blessed we all are. Try to find the good in family, friends, strangers, etc and let their light brighten your world. And I also hope that you will brighten someone else’s world as well. I am so very thankful for my friends and family. It has been a long year full of big changes but I trust that the Lord has a plan for us all. I’m thankful for each circumstance and hope to grow from every challenge we have and will face.20141112_114554

May God bless all of you and your family during this holiday season. It is my favorite time of year and I can’t wait to share it all with you. Stay warm, stay safe and most of all, stay healthy!
