It’s that time of year again – that time when we NEED warm, rich, cocoa on those cool evenings. Notice I said ‘NEED’. This uses one of my favorite brands of chocolate – Taza Chocolate. Taza sells stone ground chocolate that is DELICIOUS! It has a little texture that I love and it makes wonderful Mexican hot chocolate. This makes 1 serving
2 pieces of Taza chocolate (or about 2 squares of other chocolates) I used Taza Ginger Chocolate
1/8 tsp of ground ginger
1 SMALL dash of cayenne pepper
1 tsp honey
8 oz almond milk (unsweetened vanilla) or other milk alternative
In a small saucepan, melt chocolate over low heat. Add in remaining ingredients and bring to a slow boil, stirring frequently. Pour into a mug and enjoy! You can also use an immersion blender to make it frothy also!
