Savory Sage Bread

I’d love to be that mom that makes everything from scratch… all the time. I like to think that I’m pretty good at that but NOT perfect. We love bread – all of us. I’ve accepted that it is not a food I get to enjoy right now but my kids are missing it. My favorite brand of flours is Bob’s Red Mill. They have SUCH a huge variety of flours, mixes, etc. They are well known and widely sold across the US. Bob’s has a few mixes that I really like, one of them is their Homemade Wonderful Bread mix. It is so easily customizable and versatile. I’ve made cinnamon bread, italian loaves, etc. This bread uses that mix but also adds in a few spices to give it extra flavor. This is a great bread to go with those comfort dishes, like chili or soups. It also makes a great stuffing. Makes 1 loaf

Savory Sage Bread
1 package Bob’s Red Mill bread mix (or other bread mix as desired)
3 eggs
1 2/3 cup milk (I use unsweetened almond)
1/4 cup olive oil
1 tsp cider vinegar
2 tsp round sage
1 tsp garlic salt
1/2 tsp thyme

*Short version: cook this in your bread machine! I usually run it through the dough cycle which allows the dough to rise properly. I then pour dough into a regular loaf pan and bake according to mix instructions.

Otherwise, make bread according to mix instructions; adding the ingredients as indicated.
