This post simply blows my mind. The fact that I actually wrote it up just shocks me!

Today I get to share with you the exciting news I’m been impatiently waiting for.

I’ve been creating recipes for over 2 years now and I have probably typed up close to 600 recipes or blog posts. I created such a huge backlog of unpublished recipes that I decided to create my very own book. It was a little scary as this is not something I have done before but it was so fun.

What I wanted for my cookbook was something simple, precise and enjoyable. If you know me personally, you’ll know that I’m kind of a cookbook hoarder.. I love seeing the great ideas from other bloggers, chefs and at-home cooks. After looking through some of my favorite cookbooks, I realized what I wanted to do with my own.

Real Food Dinners for Two

This book features just over 50 recipes that are grain-free, dairy-free, soy-free and Paleo friendly. In addition, each recipe has simple ingredient substitutions to fit a variety of dietary lifestyles. I follow a Paleo lifestyle for my health needs but that doesn’t mean you need to do the same to enjoy this book! The recipes you’ll find are healthy meals that feature real, natural ingredients. In addition to being healthy, I wanted the book to be affordable. This print book retails for $16.99 and the ebook for $2.99 but watch out for frequent sale prices! For each main recipe, there’s a picture included so you can see what you are making!

I didn’t want to use a lot of ingredients that are really hard to find. Coming from a small town in Kansas, I know how hard it can be to find exotic flours, odd ingredient replacements, etc. Plus, that can get expensive. These recipes are great for cooks with a variety of skill levels. In addition to the recipes, I’ve included a brief description of some common ingredients in the book, plus tips for pantry staples, kitchen gadgets, etc.

The idea behind the book came from out weekly date nights at home. Due to my health needs, eating out is not an option for us. However, we also remember how expensive and unhealthy it can be. These recipes are foods that we eat each week and that we love. I don’t want you to think these recipes are limited to date nights though. As the title indicates, the recipes are designed to feed two: for date night, for your roommate, for a friend, for a child. These great meals aren’t isolated to alone time with a  significant other. They can be enjoyed with anyone! Not only that, but they can easily be prepared to feed four, six or even more by simply adjusting the amounts as necessary. You’ll find recipes like those pictured here, plus Fudgy Brownies, Chicken Alfredo, Beef Fajitas, Raspberry Matcha Ice Cream and much more!
