Philly Cheese Steak Skillet

If you love a good Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich – try this easy skillet dish! With a 30 minute prep time, this is a great meal for busy weeknights.

Recipe notes:

  • There’s a huge selection of gluten-free pasta out there. You can really use any shaped pasta you like, we just prefer rotini. Our favorite brands of gluten-free pasta are: Explore Cuisine, Jovial, Ancient Harvest
  • If you are needing to make this dairy-free, just swap the milk for whatever kind you want (I love coconut milk from the can). You can also use dairy-free cheese in this. Philly Cheese Steak Skillet
Comforting, cheesy pasta dishes are something on our menu at least once a week. This is one that quickly became a family favorite. It’s so simple to make and goes great any time of year.

Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, brown meat with oil for about 10 minutes.
  2. Add in onion, peppers, garlic and mushrooms. Continue cooking for another 10 minutes or until meat is cooked through and vegetables are slightly soft.
  3. Add in cream cheese, milk, provolone, parsley, salt and pepper. Cook for about 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
  4. Add in cooked pasta and toss until coated in sauce. Top with additional parsley or cheese if desired.
