We had a favorite Chinese restaurant growing up and they had a sauce that was so tasty – slightly sweet, a little heat and ginger! I’ve been trying to recreate it since they closed and I think this is pretty close! We love it served with rice and steamed veggies.

Ginger Sticky Chicken
A slightly sweet and spicy chicken recipe that's loaded with ginger flavor. Perfect for a busy weeknight!
In a large skillet, saute chicken breasts in sesame oil for about 8-10 minutes, turning once, or until cooked through.
Add in onions and garlic and cook for another 5 minutes or until slightly soft.
Add in apricot preserves, soy sauce, red pepper flakes and ginger. Cook for about 5 minutes or until sauce has boiled for about 2 minutes.
Remove from heat and let sauce thicken as it cools slightly. Top with green onions. Serve with rice and veggies if desired.
If you can't find apricot preserves, you can also use peach or orange marmalade.
