Psalm 38 – Sweet Victory

Good morning All!

It is Friday again, which means it is the second week of the #SheReadsTruth challenge. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, check it out here!

This week’s scripture is Psalm 38. Here’s my little take on it! Enjoy and God Bless!

This is such a powerful scripture that each and every one of us can relate to. What I have learned is that every person has their own personal struggles. You can’t always see them from the outside but those struggles are always there. I often find myself trying to make other people understand my struggles, but yet it is impossible for someone else to carry that burden for me. However, God always knows your pain and always has a plan. We may seem like we are constantly seeking Him out but we need to have patience, just as He does. In the meantime, we could all help each other. Maybe those “foes” the scripture describes could turn into friends. I heard a quote from Fr. John Riccardo on a broadcast. He said he felt like God wanted him to “experience the joy that comes from the victory that came through the struggle.” Let us remember that while we all have our own struggles, eventually we will come out victorious and feel everlasting joy when we put our trust in the Lord.
