Product of the Week – Kur

I stumbled across this great product from one of my favorite bloggers, The Spunky Coconut. She posted a gorgeous picture on the beach with this cute bag from a company called, Kur. I had to check it out!

kur review

The company, Kur Foods, began in Denmark. Currently, products are made in the United States with the same basic principle: to produce great food with natural, clean ingredients. Kur features 3 bars, all of which are raw, organic, gluten free, Non-GMO, Kosher and Vegan. They feature just a few simple ingredients and taste AMAZING! Their flavors include Coconut Cashew, Cacao Mint and Brownie. My husband loved the Coconut Cashew; I preferred the Brownie and my kids devoured the Cacao Mint. Overall – these bars didn’t last long. These bars aren’t like other date bars you can find in stores. These are smoother, creamy and soft. You won’t find a lot of date pieces in these bars but they are still firm and hold together nicely. The bars are pretty small – they are called The Scandinavian Bite-Size Bar. However, they are very filling, so you really only need one anyway!

One of my favorite things about this company is their Oko Bag. It is a tote bag made in the USA of 100% recycled cotton. Even better, purchasing this tote helps give back. For each bag they sell, Kur helps feed a malnourished children for an entire week! The bag costs you $29.95 but it’s really a great bag and helps children in developing countries. It’s not a standard tote either; it’s slightly larger than a standard grocery bag. It can definitely hold my farmer’s market hauls.

I encourage you to check out these barsĀ – they taste great! Plus, I love finding companies with unique stories that also help others! A win-win!
