All that holiday baking is bound to leave you with just a little bit of leftover pie crust dough. Don’t be silly and throw that away! It makes great little treats that are a great snack while your doing all that cooking! Use my Paleo Pie Crust recipe for your holiday pies! # servings depends on how much dough you use

Paleo Pie Crust

Fillings of choice: see recipes below
Roll out pie crust about 1/4 inch thick. Cut into desired shapes. I used a standard biscuit cutter to make little circles. Fill half of the shapes with desired fillings. Top with remaining pie crusts and seal edges. Bake at 400F for about 10 minutes or until slightly brown.

 

Filling ideas: jam, peanut butter

Cinnamon Roll: combine melted coconut oil, cinnamon and coconut sugar to form a paste.
Chocolate Date: blend cocoa powder, dates and a little orange juice to form a paste.
Pumpkin: combine pumpkin puree, cinnamon, nutmeg, maple syrup to form a paste.
