The countdown is ON!
Just a few more days until Christmas! This is our favorite week by far, yet also the one that sets us back the most. Thanksgiving is usually full of foods we don’t typically eat but Christmas is worse. Christmas is full of candies, cookies, popcorn, etc. I’m much better at resisting just about anything, but even I indulge a bit for Christmas. We are already feeling the sluggish side effects of eating too much sugar and junk. This week, we will be having a pre-Christmas meal plan that includes lots of veggies and clean foods. Then on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, when we are celebrating with family, we will have a little “wiggle room” for special holiday treats…. like homemade brittle, gingerbread cookies and jumbo banana muffins! So notice I the meal plan the cleaner foods at the first of the week… the total splurging on less healthy options for the big day! 🙂
I hope you all are able to have a wonderfully blessed Christmas holiday (if you celebrate). We have so many reasons to celebrate this year and we are very much looking forward to the family time together. Don’t be surprised if I’m a little scarce this week – after a LONG and exhausting year, we will be relaxing a bit before heading strong into 2016!
