Meal Plan 07/27/14-08/02/14

Happy Monday Readers –

I hope you are all faring well in the heat (if it’s warm where you are) and that you had a great weekend. We are super busy trying to prepare for school starting. Let me rephrase that-I am busy trying to prepare emotionally for school to start. Oh boy, I’m going to be a mess on August 12th! It’s only Kindergarten right? He’ll be fine!

Below is this week’s meal plan and links to some recipes for the week. Be sure to check out the other meal plans here at www.orgjunkie.com.

As I mentioned last week, I am going to start do “motivational Monday” posts. This week’s is a long one but I really love it. I recently stumbled across this book at Barnes and Noble. It was tossed under a stack of other books on a clearance table. I love Mother Teresa and greatly appreciate her words of wisdom. I envy her ability to give herself whole heartedly to others. Anyway, this quote came from a book compiled of her words of wisdom, called “Mother Teresa: Her Essential Wisdom” by Carol Kelly-Gangi. Here’s my favorite passage so far:

“When you look at the inner workings of electrical things, you often see small and big wires, new and old, cheap and expensive, all lined up. Until the current passes through them there will be no light. That wire is you and me. The current is God. We have the power to let the current pass through us, use us, produce the light of the world. Or we can refuse to be used and allow darkness to spread.”

I know our days can be gloomy, but let us try to let that current flow so that not only our own worlds can brighten but possibly someone else’s world too! Have a lovely Monday friends!

If only had just an ounce of the piece that Mother Theresa had … she truely was special and I’m so glad that her words and spirit have lived on….your menu looks yummy and of course, I had to click on the Orange Dreamsickle recipe! I think I’m going to give this a try in the morning as I have everything on hand! Thanks for sharing and have a great week! (hopped over from Organized Junkie’s Menu Plan Monday party)
