Monday again already?! Where do those weekends go?

I hope you had a good weekend! Mine was … less than great. I believe I was “glutened” on Wednesday. I tend to steer clear of any gluten when I am away from home but it’s hard when the kids have it, husband has it, etc. Regardless, somehow I had a minor setback. I was supposed to attend a Walk MS with my dear friend. My husband and kids went instead and I tried to recover at home. It was hard missing out but there’s not much I can do about that. It did inspire me to write a post on Invisible illnesses. Check it out!

One thing that I’ve learned from dealing with these food issues the last couple years is I kind of know what to expect when gluten attacks. I know I’m going to have 3-4 bad days, followed up 3-4 not-so-bad days before I get back to my “sort of normal”. During those first few days, I know to go back to a liquid or soft food diet. This helps my digestive system recover quicker. Lots of bone broths and mashed foods. Not ideal¬†– but I know it helps. If you too deal with these issues, stick with it and figure out what works best for you!
