& Happy Holy Week! Easter is on Sunday – can you believe it?! This season of Lent has flown by. As I mentioned at the beginning, my husband and I embarked on a Whole30 program to eliminate sugar from our diet – no honey, no added sweetener of any kind. It didn’t get too difficult until the past few days. I made a batch of cupcakes for some family friends who were helping us out. Unfortunately, we had to smell the delicious Carrot Cupcakes and Raspberry Lemonade cupcakes. It was rough! After that day, it’s been kind of downhill. Everything we see, we want. 6 more days – we can make it! I’ll give a full review of the Whole30 program once we are finished!
Holy week is very special to some, depending on your religion. It’s a time of prayer, reflection and fasting. That’s why our meals for Good Friday are small and no snacks are present. If you don’t celebrate Holy Week – just substitute your favorite meals instead! See my original post on Lent Meals for extra tips!
