Meal Plan 02/22/16

Happy Monday friends –

I hope you had a glorious weekend! The weather in my area was FABULOUS! 70 in February!! It was rather windy but even with that – no complaints. We were able to make BIG progress on the house and bakery. With that being said.. that means a LOT of work is about to come my way in the form of painting….. lots of painting.

With it being the Lenten season and the second month into the new year, I’m curious… how are those resolutions going? As I mentioned earlier in the year, I don’t really refer to our goals as resolutions. We just try to make a conscious effort to be better. For Lent this year, my husband and I are doing a Whole30 program – so far so good! With this comes a rather amusing story….

My daughter (who is 3 going on 20) was praying with us as we do each night. We try to help our kids realize important things in life and show them to be thankful for everything. After our prayers, we take turns telling each other (and God) what we are thankful for. My daughter told us hers and then said “But I’ve been having some troubles with my mom and dad. They keep making me do things I don’t want to!”….. I haven’t laughed so hard in a LONG time. Apparently, picking up toys is something serious and need’s God’s help 😉 Lord knows I need his help with that girl! Anyway, as funny as it is, it also reminds me of their innocence and sometimes we all need that!
