Key Lime Pie Ice Cream

One of my mom’s favorite desserts is Key Lime Pie. I of course love anything similar to cheesecake so it’s safe to say we both like it. I decided to turn it into a healthier, ice cream form with a Paleo “pie crust” blended in. This recipe is vegan, Paleo, and gluten-free! Makes 4 servings

4 large bananas

3 key limes (zested and juiced)

1/2 cup almond flour

1 tsp almond oil

1 Tbsp honey or maple syrup

1/4 tsp sea salt


  • Using your YoNanas maker or blender, blend bananas into a bowl. Add in lime zest and juice.
  • In a small bowl, combine flour, oil, honey and salt and stir until blended and crumbly.
  • Sprinkle crumbs into ice cream and gently stir.
  • Freeze for about 20 minutes, if necessary to make scoops.
