It’s definitely time for a new recipe and this one is so EASY! Just 5 total ingredients!!!!!
Caramel sauce is just an overall great treat – like the dessert version of ketchup 😉 Seriously, it’s great on brownies, ice cream, fruit.. I could go on and on…
If you’ve ever checked out a jar of store-bought caramel sauce, it can be a little scary. However, this recipe uses just 5 simple ingredients and a little bit of time. It keeps well in the fridge… I guess – our batches don’t ever last too long 🙂
- In a medium saucepan, combine coconut milk, maple syrup and salt. Stir until smooth.
- Simmer for about 30 minutes over low-medium heat, stirring occasionally.
- Add in coconut oil and vanilla. Cook for 5 more minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool completely. Stir cooled caramel and pour into a sealed container. Store in fridge.
