Cocoa Mocha Latte

I’m not much of a coffee drink but on occasion, I do like a little black tea with a little caffeine. I used to drink coffee a lot but I haven’t been able to for a long time so I do miss the taste. This drink is a good alternative to coffee but still packs a little caffeine to help get you going in the mornings. Makes 1 serving

½ cup hot water

1 bag of black tea (I used Yogi Cocoa Spice – it’s great!)

½ cup almond milk

¼ cup canned coconut milk

1 Tbsp coconut sugar

1 tsp honey or stevia

1 tsp instant coffee (or 1 espresso shot or decaf coffee)


Pour hot water in a mug and steep tea bag for about 10 minutes. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, bring remaining ingredients to a boil. Cook for about 5 minutes or until very bubbly and steamy. Add in tea and stir to combine. Pour drink bag in mug and enjoy!
