Ingredients:
1 1/4 cup ground cinnamon
1 cup applesauce
Optional Add-ins:
Orange zest
Orange extract or oil
Ground nutmeg
Ground cloves
Vanilla extract
Cedar oil
Any other extracts, essential oils or fragrance oils that complement cinnamon

Directions:
Mix together cinnamon and applesauce. This can be done by hand with a spoon but it is much faster and easier with a mixer. It takes a couple minutes for the ingredients to form a dough. If necessary, add a little more cinnamon or applesauce to get a nice dough texture. Once the dough ball has formed, place on a piece of wax or parchment paper lightly sprinkled with cinnamon.20141130_121718

Roll dough out 1/4″ thick and cut out shapes using cookie cutters. Reroll extra dough and continue cutting out until all dough is used. Place cut shapes onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Using a straw, make a hole in the ornament to hang it.
