I’m not a huge fan of smoothies but that’s part of my new diet plan to get a few extra calories in. If you aren’t trying to gain weight, you could easily replace a meal or snack with this smoothie. This would be great for breakfast. If you are also an athlete you could adapt this a little to fit your own protein needs. The avocado provides good fats and extra energy without adding any weird flavors like you might think. Then you’ve got the chocolate, and let’s be honest: it makes everything better! This makes one smoothie
½ ripe avocado
1 Tbsp cocoa powder
1 tsp honey
6 oz (or one small container) of plain/vanilla yogurt (I used coconut yogurt)
¼ cup milk or water
1 scoop of protein powder (optional)
½ cup ice
In a blender, combine ingredients and blend for about 2 minutes or until smooth.
