Chai Banana Ice Cream

One of these days I’m going to throw together a blog post of strictly “YoNanas” recipes. Don’t have a YoNanas maker? Get one here or just use a high-power blender. Occasionally we do make regular ice cream with milk but using bananas is so much easier. This recipe is no different – it takes two of my favorite items and puts them together… bananas and chai tea! The sweetness of the bananas goes so well with the spicy chai flavors. Just make sure you use a fine tea blend or grind your tea until very fine; otherwise you may end up with large pieces of spices (cinnamon bark) that do not taste very good (trust me, I know from experience).

4 large bananas, peeled and frozen
1 bag or Tbsp of chai tea, finely ground
1 tsp honey

  • In a blender or Yonanas maker, blend all ingredients together. If using a Yonanas, place 1 banana into maker, then part of the tea and honey. Repeat with remaining ingredients, putting the fourth banana in last. Stir ingredients together in a bowl.
