Got a busy Independence Day planned? I suggest starting off with this cool and tasty smoothie! It is packed with healthy fats and protein to get you going on a hot summer day! Plus the combination of blueberries and mint is just amazing!! One note to hopefully save you embarrassment: the blueberry skins tend to stick in your teeth, so you might just glance at a mirror before you talk to anyone! Makes 1 large smoothie
1/2 cup blueberries
5 mint leaves
1 cup ice
1/2 cup almond milk
1/4 cup coconut milk
1 Tbsp of protein powder (if desired – just omit if not)
1 tsp honey
Blend together ingredients and pour into a glass!
