Apple Pie Nogrola

In honor of my surprised success with my Aloha No-Grola, I’ve decided to make a fall version featuring apples and cinnamon.

Apple Pie Granola

Okay – back to the recipe:

1/2 cup almonds, finely chopped
1/2 cup coconut flakes
1/4 cup pine nuts
1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
1/4 cup pecans, chopped
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tsp vanilla
2 Tbsp maple syrup
2 Tbsp coconut oil
1/4 cup dried apple pieces

  • ┬áIn a large skillet, melt coconut oil. Add in chopped nuts and spices. Stir until coated in oil. Add in the apple pieces.
  • Pour mixture on to a large baking sheet in a thin layer. Bake at 400F for about 15-20 minutes – stirring occasionally.
  • Be careful to not burn the mixture. Remove from oven and let cool about 10 minutes. Break into pieces and store in a sealed bag or container for about a week.
